With a significant twenty years experience of doing business in Asia, Vinexpo Hong Kong, the professional exhibition, continues to assert its leadership and its role of partner to the wine and spirits industries. On May 29, 30 and 31 this year, Vinexpo Hong Kong will gather together major brands from the two sectors at the Hong Kong Exhibition Centre.
Vinexpo exported its expertise to Asia in 1998 when Vinexpo Hong Kong became the first BtoB exhibition ever organised in the Far East. 20 years later, this show has become a must-attend event and a strategic platform for professionals of the industry.
The growth of this exhibition continues in 2018, returning to the cosmopolitan super-city, which is a strategic platform and crossroads for all Asian-Pacific markets.
More than just a meeting place where supply is in touch with demand, Vinexpo has developed today into a key measure of the Asian markets, enabling professionals to take the temperature of the wine and spirits trades in different countries, to identify trends and widen their commercial horizons.
Vinexpo Hong Kong – an attractive exhibition in a lively market
Exhibitors at Vinexpo Hong Kong represent a world map of the industry where major wine and spirits-producing countries and regions, including Italy, Spain, Germany, California, New Zealand, Chile, Australia and many others, come together in the aisles of the exhibition. Being an exhibitor at this international show is a golden opportunity for wine and spirits companies from all over the world to get a foothold in new markets and grow business in a context of trust.
In this upcoming edition, 1,300 exhibitors from 28 countries will showcase their products before 18,000 visitors expected over the three days of the exhibition. While France continues to be well represented, the sales of stand space show that southern European countries, the New World and spirits producers are increasingly interested in exhibiting.
Success in numbers, but also in the quality of the professional visitors
Vinexpo Asia-Pacific’s reputation and the strategic location of Hong Kong regularly draw more and more visitors from China, and more generally from the whole Asian-Pacific region, to each new exhibition.
In 20 years the show has developed its power to attract attention. Beyond China and Hong Kong, visitors now come from all over Asia Pacific, and the circle of international interest widens doubling the number of countries represented from 25 to 51.
Business at the heart of the event: the One to Wine Meetings
The one to Wine Meetings are Vinexpo’s 100% free of charge service to business. The new platform, which has been tested and acclaimed during Vinexpo exhibitions, permits exhibitors or buyers to find new clients and markets quickly and easily. Indeed, the business connection system is laid out to facilitate targeted and qualified business contacts and to create personalized business-meetings.
WOW! World of Organic Wines
Unveiled for the first time at Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017, WOW!, the area dedicated entirely to organic and biodynamic wines, was an immediate hit with importers, sommeliers and wine merchants seeking a clearly defined organic wine offer to meet the demands of a booming market.
A total of 50 international producers will be exhibiting in the organic wine area at Vinexpo Hong Kong with tasting tables specially designed to attract artisan winemakers.
Spotlight on Australia, Country of Honour
Australia is one of the most exciting wine-producing countries in the global market today. The diversity of its terroirs and its regulation-free appellation areas have enabled Australian winemakers to stay at the forefront of innovation by experimenting with new grape varieties, and to achieve a move upmarket that has been praised by critics, sommeliers and consumers alike.
As the world’s 5th largest wine exporter, the 2nd largest exporter to China and with a growth outlook of 25% in volume by 2020, Australia is a major industry player. It is estimated that consumption of its still wines will grow to reach US$4.3 billion between 2016 and 2020.
In collaboration with Wine Australia, Vinexpo promises a packed programme. Further details will be unveiled in the coming months. The talent of Australian winemakers and regional know-how will be showcased through dedicated spaces, talks and exclusive tastings.
