The Hungarian Wine Summit returns, hosted by the Hungarian Wine Marketing Agency

Between April 21-25, nearly 500 wines from 150 Hungarian wineries will be exhibited at the upcoming Hungarian Wine Summit (HWS) to be held in Millenáris Park in Budapest. In addition to enhancing the country’s image, the goal of this large-scale international wine trade event is to expand international business and trade opportunities.

The predecessor of the conference debuted in 2022, organized by the Agricultural Marketing Centrum as a co-event of SIRHA Budapest (International Hotel Catering and Food Trade Exhibition), the largest catering and HoReCa event at the time in Hungary. After a gap year, the HWS comes back as an independent, exclusively wine-focused event hosted by the Hungarian Wine Marketing Agency. In line with the national wine marketing strategy, the Summit offers more than 100 traders the opportunity to familiarize themselves with hundreds of Hungarian wines in an exclusive large-scale event.

The housing for the five-day-long event will be in Budapest Marriott Hotel, which also hosts the Welcome Party. The hotel’s rooftop bar, Liz and Chain, guarantees the best atmosphere and the most beautiful view over Budapest for a perfect kick-off event. Meanwhile, the conference day of the Summit will be hosted by the award-winning exhibition space, Millenáris Park, offering a masterclass-focused morning program and a more flexible afternoon session with a silent tasting zone and a B2B matchmaking arena.

From the second day onward, the Summit continues with exciting study tours. Local experts will guide the guests through selected wine districts like Tokaj, Eger, Villány, Szekszárd, Etyek and Balaton Wine Region . The tours do not only provide an opportunity for the winemakers to present their wines, but also give a chance for the invitees to fall in love with the Hungarian countryside and discover the true spirit of the terroir.
