Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre (“the Centre”) released its Annual 88 Key Events for the coming year. Recording another outstanding 12 months, the Centre has garnered 12 top industry awards, including Asia’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre, all of which are testament to its ability to consistently deliver a seamless, customised experience for its clients.
Banking on the strong 2017 momentum and next year’s line-up of high-profile local and international events, the Centre expects to achieve an even stronger performance in 2018.
In line with being the recognised leader in innovation and use of technology in the MICE industry, Suntec Singapore provides the perfect backdrop to host The 2018 ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing, a premier interdisciplinary event which will bring together 700 leading international researchers, designers, developers and practitioners.
“We really appreciate the venue’s reliable high-speed WiFi and flexibility in configuring our meeting rooms in this technology-led Centre, which plays well to our needs and helps us save cost,” explained Julie Kientz, UbiComp 2018 Steering Committee Chair.
With its long-established credential as a PhrMA-code compliant venue, the Centre is the leading regional venue for key international medical events. 2018 will see a record number of new and returning medical shows, which include the prestigious Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) World Congress 2018, Singapore Hepatitis Conference 2018, World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care 2018, Global Spine Congress 2018 and 5th SG-ANZICS Intensive Care Forum 2018.
The Centre will also host the 10th Anniversary edition of the International Dental Exhibition and Meeting Singapore (IDEM), which will bring together 8,500 dentists and clinicians for a discourse on the cutting-edge, contemporary and readily applicable clinical advances in dentistry.
“Suntec Singapore has been the ideal partner for IDEM. We value their first-class service teams, their commitment to details and ability to always deliver an outstanding experience for our guests. Our confidence in the Centre has been reinforced with every show held here,” explained Mathias Kuepper, General Manager of Koelnmesse, the company that organises IDEM.
The Centre continues to be the venue of choice for exciting, hip and trendy consumer shows.
In June, the Centre will host Chillax Asia 2018, a cool F&B music event with cooking demonstrations and international Bake-A-Star championships. This first-of-its-kind show melding trade and consumer elements will feature 160 exhibitors and is expected to attract 10,000 people.
“We have selected Suntec Singapore for its high quality service professionals who understand how to support a complex event where specially curated novel F&B offerings are combined with live music, championships and entertainment,” explained Thomas Tan, Founder of Chillax Asia 2018.
As a Centre with a strong commitment to the community, Suntec Singapore will host the APVN Conference 2018, attended by 1,000 change makers, funders and resource providers in the largest gathering of philanthropists and social investors in Asia.
“Suntec Singapore has created a wonderful venue that not only delivers the services and experience that a demanding organiser looks for, but it has been recognised for encouraging a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration which resonates with our organisation and the APVN event,” said Naina Batra, CEO of Asian Venture Philanthropy Network.
As the Centre gears up for a new year that promises a slew of exciting and first-to-market events, Arun Madhok, CEO of the Centre remarked, “Since our modernisation programme, 4 years ago, we have been seeing an increasing demand for our venue. The digitalisation of our business processes, the deployment of smart technology and a team of dedicated professionals have now given us a clear market advantage and the impetus to drive the Centre forward to new achievements.
“Together with our key partners, Suntec Singapore will continue to lead the industry through bold innovation and the relentless pursuit of excellence, offering unique, memorable experiences for all our clients and guests.”
