Large number of key industry players have already registered / Thematic hall layout for R+T 2024
R+T, the world’s leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun shading systems, will open its doors again in Stuttgart from 19 to 23 February 2024. After six long years, the product innovations in the RTS industry will be presented live and in colour at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre. “To date, just under 750 exhibitors have registered for R+T 2024. They include a large number of key industry players, e.g. Alpha Deuren, Alukon, Alulux, Automatismi Benincà, Berner Torantriebe, Cherubini, Dickson Constant, Elero, Faac, GfA Elektromaten, Gibus and Leiner, heroal, Kadeco Sonnenschutzsysteme, Llaza World and Recasens, NICE, Parà, Reflexa-Werke, Renson, Rödelbronn, Roma, Sattler SUN-TEX, Sauleda, Somfy Activités and Sommer Antriebs- und Funktechnik. Just under 65,000 square metres of exhibition space (net) have already been booked, i.e. almost 90 per cent of the maximum amount of space available. We are currently very satisfied with this status quo,” said Melanie Brenner, Manager Exhibitions and Events at Messe Stuttgart, with confidence.
Hunter Douglas will also be present at R+T 2024: “After the corona crisis and the economic uncertainty, we are looking forward to meeting our customers from all over the world. We can proudly present our newly developed products and show the work of the entire Hunter Douglas family,” said Friedrich W. Petrat, Managing Director of Hunter Douglas Components. “The most important aspect for us is to cultivate contacts with our customers, with the press and naturally with the entire industry! Incidentally, my favourite product is the newly developed smart home product group. I am keen to see how customers will react to this.” After the long break, there are high expectations regarding the forthcoming edition of the world’s leading trade fair. “R+T can be regarded as a sign that the economic uncertainty is coming to an end. This is the right time for us and our customers to jointly create strategy and sales concepts with the inclusion of newly developed products. We are looking forward to being able to actively sell our products again,” said Friedrich W. Petrat.
Preparations are being intensified
“In order to gain an even better understanding of our different markets with their individual needs, we staged various workshops with exhibitors last year. During these workshops we obtained interesting insights into the individual industries and now also want to include these findings in R+T 2024,” said Philipp Götz, Manager Exhibitions and Events at Messe Stuttgart.
In addition to the R+T Team’s plans and preparations, the large number of exhibitors are also preparing their participation in the trade fair in February 2024. “We recently started to specifically plan R+T 2024 together with our international colleagues and certainly have many attractive product innovations in the pipeline,” said Joachim Wallenstein, Marketing Manager at Somfy Deutschland. Communication Manager Joana Cedó from LLAZA World also confirmed: “Our plans are in full swing since we want to have everything ready for R+T 2024 and surprise the market.” Fabian Cichon, Managing Director of Dickson Constant Deutschland, said the following: “Our concept for R+T 2024 has been formulated and we will present our new collection along with our trend study and some new developments in the area of screens.” Hunter Douglas has also now started to plan its presence at R+T 2024. “I can actually reveal that we are enhancing the prototypes of our new developments, which we showed at our documenta exhibition in Kassel, at the recommendation of our customers in order to then present them at R+T 2024. One important innovation will be PowerView 3.0, our smart home offering for sun shading products,” previewed Friedrich W. Petrat.
Hall concept has not been changed
“The thematic hall layout at the last edition of R+T was extremely impressive and went down very well with our visitors. We therefore want to retain and build on this concept for R+T 2024,” said Melanie Brenner. The hall concept for R+T 2024 will look like the following: the sun shading systems industry will exhibit as usual in the L-Bank Forum (Hall 1), the Ceratizit Halle (Hall 3), the MAHLE Halle (Hall 4), Hall 5, the Oskar-Lapp-Halle (Hall 6) and Halls 7 and 9. The structure of the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre also means that the area for sun shading systems can be centralised and enhanced. The importance of the Oskar Lapp Halle (Hall 6) for the outdoor area with products aimed primarily at the target groups of restaurants and hotels is also increasing. In 2024 the area of doors and gates will again be presented in the Alfred Kärcher Halle (Hall 8) and the Paul Horn Halle (Hall 10).
Growing anticipation for R+T
Christian Junkers, Managing Director of Junkers & Müllers: “Personal discussions with our international customers are certainly the aspect what we are looking forward to the most. We are also naturally very excited to present our innovations during face-to-face meetings on our exhibition stand.”
David Leon Chantres, Export Manager at Expalum: “Expalum is really looking forward to R+T 2024 in Stuttgart since we have not been able to meet our customers and friends there for six long years. Expalum has added a complete range of pergolas, zips and awnings to its portfolio for the first time and will present them at R+T 2024.”
Elisabeth Eiböck, Head of Market Communication at Sattler SUN-TEX: “We are really longing for R+T 2024 which we had to miss for far too long. We are looking forward to finally meeting our partners again on the Sattler stand in order to jointly discuss developments in the industry and naturally present the wide range of qualities and designs with great emphasis on sustainability.”
Frank Luckner, Head of Marketing/PR at erfal: “In our opinion, R+T is both a major driving force for innovative product developments and an ideal platform for increasing business contacts. In particular, we will show our specialist sun shading system retailers, interior decorators, architects and planners innovations in the area of drive and control systems for privacy and sun shading system solutions.”
Kay Ludwig, Export Manager at Sauled: “By attending R+T 2024, we want to strengthen our existing customer relationships and establish new contacts in order to further extend our business network. We are very much looking forward to presenting our new innovations and our product range to our visitors live and in colour.”
Miloslav Matousek, Marketing Manager at ZALUZIE NEVA: “We are looking forward to meeting our partners and competitors again in person in Stuttgart after six long and complicated years. R+T is a great place to exchange ideas and experiences, and keep up to date with changes in the industry.”
Nikola Fornarelli, President of the Italian Closures and Mechanisms Association (ACMI): “The great expectation of the companies in the ACMI Pavilion is to restore “physical contact” with international visitors that was guaranteed at R+T in the past. The 13 companies in the Pavilion and the ACMI members represented on their own stands are ready to present their new products in the area of doors and gates.”
Steffen Schaaf, Sales Manager at Sommer Antriebs- und Funktechnik: “For our company R+T means intense discussions at an international level. We are looking forward to meeting a large number of our partners and discussing the market, the latest developments and the future.”
Joana Cedó, Communication Manager at LLAZA: “R+T 2024 will be the highlight for the industry in the next few years. It will undoubtedly have the biggest effect in providing information about new products, meeting new employees and strengthening relationships with our customers. Our plans are in full swing in order to have everything ready and surprise the market when the event comes closer.”
