Current world events are having a different effect on the trade fairs of the R+T Alliance, the trade fair combination for the sun shading system and door/gate industries. The R+T Alliance currently comprises six trade fairs at five locations on three continents. Three of them, i.e. R+T Asia, R+T Turkey and Sun Shading Expo North America, will be staged this year. The new dates for R+T Asia and APAExpo by R+T are the result of the current general conditions at the particular event venues.
Sun Shading Expo North America under starter’s orders
Sun Shading Expo North America, which will celebrate its première in Charlotte, North Carolina, from 12 to 14 October 2022 concurrently with IFAI Expo, is now on course for success. Some market leaders from the USA and the rest of the world, e.g. Berteks, heroal USA, Kirayteks, Lantex, Progressive Screens, Vako US, Kraft Machines, Wilson Fabrics and Xera, have already reserved their stand areas. “In November 2021 we presented the most recent project of the R+T Alliance – Sun Shading Expo North America – at IFAI Expo. Since then, we have held numerous discussions with interested companies and are delighted that our exhibition area at the venue is almost booked up. We only still have a few square metres available. This confirms our belief that we have struck the right cord in the industry with this new event. We can hardly wait to finally celebrate the première of Sun Shading Expo in October 2022 and offer the visitors to the trade fair the product innovations of the national and international exhibitors as well as networking opportunities and free training events again,” said Roland Bleinroth, President of Messe Stuttgart.
R+T Turkey doubling its exhibition area
The fifth edition of R+T Turkey will be held from 20 to 22 October 2024. The preparations are in full swing and the trade fair has already achieved great success: whereas the last event in 2019 was staged on a net exhibition area of 3,000 square metres in one hall, it has now been extended for the first time to two halls. The is due to two reasons: firstly, the increase in the number of registrations from new exhibitors and secondly, the requests by existing exhibitors for larger stand areas. Visitors in Istanbul can therefore also look forward to a much more extensive range of products and services with new exhibitors. R+T Turkey will take place from 20 to 22 October 2022 in Halls 9 and 10 at the Istanbul Expo Center.
New date for R+T Asia
R+T Asia, which was originally due to take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from 25 to 27 May 2022, has had to be postponed due to the epidemiological situation in Shanghai and the local restrictions imposed by the Chinese government. After taking account of the most important interest groups and partners, R+T Asia 2022 will now be held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center in Shenzhen (China) from 31 August to 2 September 2022. R+T Asia will also continue its online matchmaking programme in order to reduce the waiting time until the trade fair in summer. More information can be found at: en.rtasia.net.
Alternative event format for APAExpo by R+T
Current world events are having an impact on the Spanish market. In close consultation with all participants, APAExpo by R+T, which was originally scheduled to take place in Barcelona from 5 to 7 October 2022, has been postponed. Ricardo Ricart, General Secretary of the Spanish Association APA, made the following statement: “In particular, the great uncertainty concerning the current market situation and investment activities was highlighted in the last few weeks during intensive discussions with all the exhibitors and partners of APAExpo by R+T. The participating companies welcome the decision to postpone the trade fair and want an alternative event format on a smaller scale in order to still remain in contact with the industry. An INNOVATION FORUM powered by APAExpo by R+T will therefore be held in October 2022.” Further information concerning this event will be available shortly.
Registration open for R+T 2024
Registration for R+T 2024 is now possible. Over 500 exhibitors have already registered for R+T 2024 in Stuttgart from 19 to 23 February 2024 while around 46,000 square metres of exhibition space have been booked. “We are delighted that the preparations and plans for R+T 2024 are now starting again. We can hardly wait to welcome the industry again in person to Stuttgart after six long years! At present, we are also working simultaneously on other concepts to enable visitors and exhibitors to experience R+T digitally before the event,” said Sebastian Schmid, Vice President of Messe Stuttgart.
