Koelnmesse to host the UFI Global Congress in 2024

At the start of the 90th annual UFI Global Congress for the trade fair industry in Las Vegas (November 1 to 4, 2023), the new Board of Directors was congratulated on the start of its three-year term of office. Koelnmesse CEO Gerald Böse, who has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2008, was re-elected. “I would like to thank UFI for the trust they have placed in me over the past few years. The trade fair world is more dynamic than ever before. It is constantly confronted with major challenges, while also offering tremendous potential. This makes exchange and cooperation within our sector all the more important.”

In addition to serving as Koelnmesse CEO and a member of the UFI board, Böse will also be hosting the UFI Global Congress in 2024: “I’m honoured to hold these three positions and do my part to help the trade fair world grow globally and receive the international attention it deserves.”

2024: Cologne in the focus of the trade fair industry

From November 20 to 23, 2024, industry leaders from all over the world will meet at Koelnmesse. “As an influential trade fair market, Germany is predestined to host a successful congress. Located at the heart of Europe, the metropolis of Cologne is easy for UFI members to reach,” says Böse, whose trade fair team is already working at full speed on the upcoming congress.

The timing is perfect: Koelnmesse will be celebrating its 100th birthday in 2024. The UFI Global Congress will take place at the Confex, Koelnmesse’s new trade fair, congress and event location. “We look forward to a very special trade fair year, in which we will not only celebrate our successful events, but also the long, successful development of Koelnmesse itself. Tradition and future will meet in Cologne in 2024 – and of course we want to make our new Confex and other innovations accessible and tangible to the global trade fair industry when they visit us in Cologne.”
